Cashing in

.

We took our coins to the bank today. We loved the sorting machine. All we had to do was dump all our coins in and it sorted and counted for us. It had the same thrill of a slot machine or winning the lottery.LOL! The little Zuka Juice Jar is what Tyson and I collected for about a year and a half. The neck on my jar is just small enough that quarters would get stuck, so there were only pennies, nickles and dimes in it. The large jar is a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Hansen. There were only a few pennies in the large jar. It was mostly quarters. Can you guess from the pictures how much money we had??

the small jar had $59.36

the large jar had $360.

We put the money from grandma and grandpa into our savings account, and then we split the cash from the little jar, and went shopping. I got Scrapping supplies, and Tyson is probably going to get a game for one of his game systems.

TYSON ~~~ Employee of the Month

I am really proud of my husband Tyson! He was awarded the Employee of the Month at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center. He was praised for his work ethic and perfect attendance.
He really enjoys his job.
This is a picture of him and Thomas "playing" Lego Star Wars on the PS2 together.
I really like that Tyson's job is 4 days a week. I work part time on the days that he is home to watch Thomas. It has given the boys a chance to really bond. Thomas was such a momma's boy, and I guess he still is, but now he at least knows that Daddy is there for him too.

I Scrapped

I finally scrapped yesterday. I hadn't scrapped for 7 months. I lost my MoJo just after summer, and then I got a job, and time was scarce. I have been attempting to get going again by looking at all the great pictures I have that are literally screaming at me "SCRAP ME!!" So yesterday during Thomas's nap I got everything out (I have to put everything away under the table so Thomas doesn't destroy it) and I got to it. I got 4 pages done. See my gallery at ScrapJazz.com -- the link is at the bottom of my blog!!!

Ready for Church

His little shirt with the "built in tie", was a big hit! Saddly being dressed for the part, doesn't gaurentee our little angel will be angelic. Three hours of church is tough for a little guy. This picture was taken about 4 months ago.
He turned 16 months old a few days ago. He will be old enough for Nursey in 2 months, but we have been going in with him for a few months already. I mean, what else are we going to do with him? let him run thru the hallways?
There is a big age gap between kids in our ward. Most kids in Nursery are 2 years old already, then there is Thomas at 16 months, and then there is another gap where the next younger kid is maybe 9 months old. We will most likely be moving, eventually, so I hope there will be more kids his age to interact with.
Tyson teaches in Elders Quorum twice a month during the first hour. The second hour I teach the 10-12 year old Primary kids. We are learning the New Testament this year! Sacrement is last, and we are still trying to get Thomas to let us stay in for the whole meeting. Some days will go well. And other days I feel like Enos: "And I will tell you of the wrestle which I had before God," (Enos 1:2) LOL.
Thomas's favorite part of Church is the singing. He stands up on my lap, and looks at everyone. Sometimes he will join in Loud and Proud!! He likes it when they sing songs he recognizes, that I have sung to him at home, like "I am a Child of God", and "Teach me to Walk in the Light".

Blog Beginnings

While I have no idea who will be visiting this blog of mine, I felt the need to have one. Thomas will probably be the focus, since he is the center of my world!
